From where do we build, limit, adapt and, and more importantly, inhabit the bedroom?  At which point does it become suitable?
It is following these questions that the project appears and gives rise to the total room, "a space capable of encompassing all the actions of contemporary life" (Viar Laorden, P. 2021) where rest, leisure, consumption, socialization and production take place.
The development came from the experience inside my decontextualized room, neutralized and undressed from the physical limits that once consumed it. This, in order to question the characteristic of belonging and differentiation that is part of each room, where I, as the main individual, continue to inhabit this space that retains a symbolic relationship, but with the additional factor that the space has been removed from what could have distinguished it from another room.

"Intimacy is discovered in resistance to the social, in a need for concealment" (Viar Laorden, P. 2021).
From this, the piece consisted of a conscious isolation from outside perception and stimuli within my room along 20 branches of incense. The measurement of time was integrated from the aroma, guided by the ancient Chinese tradition of the aromatic clock.
In this sense, what finally accounts for the work is the video record in the form of a short film, which allows to distinguish the leisure, rest, socialization and consumption evident throughout the exercise. In addition to the residues and ashes of incense and the production generated within the space, turning it into a total room, "an ambiguous space that mixes and deconfigures, a room where distances and distinctions are eliminated, where realities are agglutinated, compressed and confused" (Viar Laorden, P. 2021) finally, a suitable bedroom.
